This notice covers website inquiries and information collected through this website. It does not replace the privacy, consent, confidentiality, or record-keeping information provided as part of the psychotherapy intake and informed-consent process when clinical services begin.

This website uses Google reCAPTCHA on certain forms to help protect the website from spam, abuse, and automated submissions. Google may collect and process technical and device information, including information about your interaction with the website, for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
I use Proton Mail for email communication. Information that you provide through email may be processed by Proton as part of providing its email services.
Email and other electronic communications carry inherent privacy and security risks. If you become a psychotherapy client, I will provide information about communication methods and associated privacy risks as part of the informed-consent process.
Jane
I use Jane as a practice management platform for functions such as appointment scheduling, client communication, billing, and related administrative activities.
Information provided through Jane may include personal information and, where applicable, personal health information. Information relating to psychotherapy services is handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and my professional obligations.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Ontario or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction.
Please Limit Sensitive Information
The website contact form is intended for brief, practical inquiries.
Please do not include detailed clinical history, diagnoses, health-card information, or other highly sensitive personal health information in a website form.
If more information is needed, I can discuss a more appropriate and private way for you to share it.
Children and Youth
My psychotherapy practice may provide services to children and youth. However, website inquiry forms are intended to be completed by a parent, guardian, caregiver, or adult client where appropriate.
Children and youth should not submit detailed personal health information through the website contact form.
Any information provided in connection with psychotherapy services will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and consent requirements.
Retention
I retain website inquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, coordinate follow-up, maintain appropriate administrative or business records, and meet applicable legal or professional obligations.
Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or otherwise disposed of as appropriate.
Clinical records are subject to separate retention requirements and are not governed solely by this website privacy notice.

I use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information I collect.

Clinical Records and Psychotherapy Services
This website privacy notice applies to information collected through the website and is separate from the privacy practices that apply to psychotherapy services.
Once you begin working with me as a psychotherapy client, information collected in connection with your care may constitute personal health information (PHI) under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA).
As the health information custodian for the personal health information I maintain in my independent practice, I am responsible for protecting the confidentiality and security of your clinical record.
The collection, use, disclosure, access, correction, retention, and destruction of clinical records are addressed through my psychotherapy privacy and informed-consent process and applicable legal and professional requirements.
Access, Correction and Withdrawal of Consent
You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request access to or correction of that information, or withdraw consent for certain future uses of your information, subject to applicable legal and professional requirements.
Requests relating to clinical records may be subject to the specific requirements and exceptions under PHIPA.
I may need to verify your identity before responding to an access or correction request.
Cookies and Website Operation
The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for WordPress administration, security, spam prevention, performance, and basic website operation.
